# What You Need:

→ Oats Base

01 - 1 cup old-fashioned rolled oats
02 - 1 cup milk, dairy or plant-based
03 - 1/2 cup brewed coffee, cooled
04 - 2 tablespoons brown sugar, packed
05 - 2 tablespoons plain Greek yogurt, optional
06 - 1 tablespoon chia seeds, optional
07 - 1/4 teaspoon vanilla extract
08 - Pinch of salt

→ Toppings

09 - 1 small banana, sliced
10 - 2 tablespoons chopped toasted nuts, such as pecans or walnuts
11 - Additional brown sugar or maple syrup, to taste

# How To Make It:

01 - In a medium bowl or mason jar, mix rolled oats, milk, cooled coffee, brown sugar, Greek yogurt if using, chia seeds if using, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Stir well to ensure complete incorporation.
02 - Seal the mixture and refrigerate for at least 8 hours or overnight to allow the oats to fully absorb the liquid and develop flavor.
03 - In the morning, stir the soaked oats thoroughly. If needed, add a splash of additional milk to reach your desired creaminess.
04 - Divide the soaked oats into bowls or jars. Top with sliced banana, toasted nuts, and more brown sugar or maple syrup according to preference.
05 - Enjoy chilled straight from the refrigerator.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • It tastes like your favorite oat milk latte and delivers breakfast all in one bite.
  • This is my go-to when I need to feed myself in less than a minute on busy mornings.
02 -
  • Once I tried using hot coffee instead of cooled and ended up with oddly pasty oats—not worth repeating.
  • Mixing well right at the start keeps chia seeds and brown sugar from clumping at the bottom.
03 -
  • Add coffee after it’s fully cooled to avoid a pasty consistency.
  • A pinch of salt may seem small, but it’s the secret to rich flavor balance in every spoonful.
